Most Random Post of Everything...

Quick disclaimer...
for any of you who are expecting a super important announcement now that our blog is officially private- I'll just go ahead an disappoint ya now... nothing THAT exciting is going on.
On my last post I wrote... "I have important things to post and I'm not posting them until my blog is private"... that does not mean that I'm pregnant...
I was just getting excited to post about the things we've been doing in California!

With that said, I'd just like to recap what we've been up to these last couple weeks...

I AM FINALLY WITH JASON AGAIN!!!! WAHHHOOO!

Geez. I HATE being alone. Even with a drawbridge :) to keep me safe. It sucks.
I was VERY thankful for a friend in Logan who was missing her husband too though!
I wouldn't have made it through the weeks without her and had so much fun hanging out!

The day before I came to Cali I woke up with hives all over my legs and back. It was horrible!
All I could figure out was that a misquito was in my sheets with me and ate me alive... but then, on the plane the next day I was so itchy all over that I wanted to scream! By the time I got off the plane I looked sick. (Just my arms, legs, and back-thankfully- not my face :P)

Seriously... looked like I had cellulite exploding all over my body.
Pic to prove the ugliness:

Eww.
It lasted for maybe like 4 or 5 days but only happened at night and in the morning. Weird.

ANYWAY...
It was fun to see Jason at the airport after we'd been away from each other for so long.
It's actually turning out to be one of my favorite things now
(getting picked up by him at the airport), because it's almost like we're dating again!
It's funny to kiss your husband and feel like it's only your first kiss ever! I love it!

When I got to California I was very pleasantly surprised...
even though I was already excited to come.
There are palm trees EVERYWHERE and that pretty much means I'm in LOVE!

We live right near lots of stores, and a movie theater, and a mall (which is the best I've ever been to)... and the first thing I noticed when we got to Dublin is how clean it is! I really like it a lot.

About a week after I got here
Jason's little sister Jerianne and her husband Rusty came to visit us.
We had a lot of fun and when they left I was already wishing they could come right back!
Jason and all the boys went deep sea fishing the first morning at like 5:00 am and here are some exciting pics of the fishing experience... :)

Jason and Rusty were sick the whole time.
Rusty (who didn't seem fazed by his nausea) would throw up over the side of the ship and then just keep reeling in the fish...
and Jason...
well...
we're just glad fishing is not his chosen profession.
I'll have to remind him of that when he has a hard day at work.
This picture shows his brother Josh catching a fish. Notice Jason in the background. Sad :(

Jason Josh Mike

Rusty

I just want you to know, as I'm posting these pics, I'm actually smelling fish. SICK!
They caught like 40 fish. Our house was SO stinky!

I've only been here for a few weeks and we've already gone to San Fransisco twice
and had lots of fun both times. Once we went with Mike, Josh, Rusty & Jeri...

And once Jason drove a mini-van packed with 8 people. Me & Jason sat in front obviously because he drove- and we kept joking that we felt like the parents-maybe I don't want 6 boys though. :)

I'm sick of typing...and I'm sure you're sick of reading... so here are some pics:

Other Highlights that I should've posted about but haven't:

-Monica's Birthday!-
My little sister Monica turned 15!!
She is so grown up! I have always loved playing with Monica-
dressing her up, doing her hair, making music videos, dancing, or practicing cheers with her-
she is such a fun little sister to have. I can't believe how GORGEOUS and grown up she is-
it's weird to feel like I've stopped growing up and she's catching up to me.
I think we're kind of switching places and
now I'm the one looking up to and wanting to be like her!
I'm excited to have a sister/friend to hang out with for the rest of my life!

-Father's Day-
I REALLY do think my dad is INCREDIBLE and I appreciate him SOOOOO much.
He is so smart, and funny, and he always has good advice for us.
He has given me everything I ever needed or wanted, he works so hard for us-
and he is a great example and leader of our family.
Even now that I'm married I feel like he still does such a good job of taking care of me and anytime we have a question about anything my dad knows the answer.
Thanks Dad for all you do! I love you!
-Jon & Kate Plus 8-
Let's just say when Jason walked in from work the night
the "announcement" was made that on Jon & Kate are getting a divorce-
I was still watching it... and bawling.
Let's also say that I was depressed about what was going to happen
for a few full days before I even watched the show.
I guess we could also just say that I'm way too obsessed over I family I don't know.
I have watched them since the beginning though,
and can't tell you how many times on holidays- or just normal days-
I've stopped and said... "J, I wonder what the Gosselins are doing right now?"
So I really do feel like I know them- and I really just want them to stay together and be happy! They clearly still love each other! I think they're just forgetting what's important right now. :(
Sad.

-The Bachelorette-
Lovin it. Still waiting every week for Mondays.
Of course everyone, including me, loves Jake the pilot- not sure what will happen with that-
but I've loved Kiptyn from the beginning and think they're darling together.
So... we'll see. I'm not as obsessed as I've been with the shows in the past though.

-So You Think You Can Dance-
Hmmmm. There are a few people I like... but I'm not loving any of the dancers
like I did with last years group. I like Randi from Utah. She's darling... we'll see.
I'm still liking the actual dances, but the dancers make more of a difference to me.
I'm hoping that I'll start liking them more as it gets further into the season.

-Movies-
Movies are at least ELEVEN dollars our here! WHAT?!
Worst movie I've seen in a long time... or maybe ever... Year One with Jack Black.
Still wishing we would've walked out. Horrible, gross comments the whole time- and just stupid.
Transformers- we were out till 2:00 am watching it last night and it was definitely worth it.
Don't think that means I didn't fall asleep during the fighting and one point- because I did.
We love Shia Labeouf... and I'd be lying if I didn't say I was jealous of Megan Fox.
Clearly, she's gorgeous.

Wonderin why I am writing so much about TV and movies?
Well... I don't have anything else to do-
so they provide great entertainment during my super summers. :)
-Happenings back Home-
My friend Richelle got sealed to her adorable little
baby boy Tiegan in the Temple last week... and I missed it. :(
And now they've moved out of Logan so I don't get to see them as often and I'm way sad. Everyone stop growing up!

Two of my favorite guys in the world are getting married this weekend and I'm getting so sad that I'll miss them. Shelten and Kyle have been two of my best friends over the years and I wish I could be there to support them. They're both marrying way darling girls though-
so I'm so excited for them. :)

I'm missing our families a lot this summer and sad that we're missing out on random things.
My little brother Travis is getting so big now and
I just wish he was still a little baby until I came home... and then he could grow up.
Whenever I've cried about being the oldest kid in my family it's been
because I don't want to miss out on Monica & Travis growing up.
I never ever want to be the sister that they don't know very well or feel kind of awkward around- because I think they are so dang cute and absolutely incredible.

Also, the summers are the times that I really wish I could hang out with my sister Samantha. We are both always so busy and I just feel like the summer would be the best time for us to really get to hang out and become better friends... but I'm always gone.

:( Maybe next summer...or hopefully before then.

And more than anything I hate not being able to see my mom!
I am such a baby, but I still need my mom!
She is still one of my very best friends and I look up to her so much.

Jason's family is always doing fun things all summer too- and I wish so bad we could be with them! Going to the ranch, playing games and watching movies, going to Jackson Hole, 4-wheeling through mud-puddles again...!
Also, J's older sister Jodie and her family are moving across
the country this summer- so we are going to miss having them live so close to us in Logan. :(
We wish we were there to say goodbye!

We have yet to spend a 4th/24th of July together with either of our families-
so I am looking SOOOO forward to it in the future... but... at least it's been nice to have so much of Jason's family out here this summer. It's nice to know your friends of choice to call or hang out with are actually a part of your family. :) We are so lucky!

Wow! What a LOOOOoooooOOOOOnnnnnG post!

Sorry, ya don't have to read it- I just had a lot more to say than I'd planned on. :)

Hope everyone's having a great summer!

I was soo excited to read your post and I am way glad you made it a long one because Shane and I have been wanting to know how you guys are doing and what's going on out there in Cali. It looks like you're having so much fun! I love all the pictures! You look so dang cute and I can't believe how long your hair is getting! I wish we could be out there with you guys, we really miss hanging out!! I totally know what you mean about how it's hard to be away from family and to feel like you miss out on so much. Even though we were only a couple of hours away in Logan, I felt that way all the time and hardly ever saw my or Shane's family. But I do think it makes you appreciate them and whatever time you do have with them so much more. Oh, and I totally agree with you on SYTYCD--I think my favorites are Randi and Janette but I don't love them as much as last season's dancers.

I'm so jealous, and I think that any blog about San Francisco is an important one. San Fran is my favorite city. I always meet someone famous everytime I go. And the shopping is the best. I'm overdue- it's been like over a year since I've been last. Can you carry a picture of me around next time you go? Just kidding.

I love your blog. You are looking like you are having a blast out there. You look so happy and in love. I totally agree with you on the dancers this season. I am not in love with them as much as I was last season. :) They are good, but I loved last year. I hope you are still having a blast. Love ya!
