I have just been thinking tonight about what an awesome mom I have- I have no idea why, but I can't stop thinking about it- so I figured I'd blog it. Obviously, no one has to read it- I just wanted to give her credit for how amazing she is. My mom is seriously one of my best friends. I still talk to her EVERY day... Jason has given up now teasing me about cutting the ties. Really... since I've been married I think that I've not called her for maybe um... 15 days total. And on most of those days I was on cruises where we didn't get service in the middle of the ocean.
Anyway, my mom is SO talented-she has the prettiest handwriting you'll ever see, she is such a good artist, she's is soooo good with little kids-seriously, always playing catch with my little brother, making up fun things to do, and just teaching them what they need to know. She was my Primary teacher, Young Womens leader, and a room mother at school like every year of my life. I am so thankful that she always pushed me to do my best- in school- or just with anything. She was the one who made sure I was signed up for dance, ice skating, tumbling, cheerleading, and on and on- and she was always the one who took me there. I cannot count the times she stayed up helping me finish reports and projects for school and they were always the coolest things- which was good because I never had to be embarrassed when I brought them to school-everyone always thought they were the best. I always had THE COOLEST birthday parties in the world- and I never got embarrassed of her around my friends- because she really is just so amazing. She is way pretty, and always made sure that I had my hair done perfectly every single day until she finally let me do it on my own. My dad wasn't a member of the church when I was little and my mom took us to church every week alone- I'm sure I still can't even appreciate how hard that really was- but I am SO thankful that she took us and taught us the things that were right. I realize now that she really did sacrifice things for herself so that my life could be so easy. When I went to high school and it was a fifteen minute drive from my house she would drive me to all of the parties, sleepovers, or games that I wanted to go to- and she always had to turn right back around to come pick me up and drive me home again. From my mom I learned to love the sunshine and being tan, to hate chocolate, and to try to do my best at everything I do. She is a perfectionist who will never believe how perfect she really is. I know my mom doesn't ever check my blog- but I just wanted to thank her anyway, and tell her how much I love her! Thanks mom :)
