K, since I'm looking for cribs and strollers and baby bedding sets and everything else you could possibly use for a baby and I feel like I have NO idea what I'm doing or how much I should be spending I could use a few suggestions. Any advice?

I am so excited for you guys!!!! I loved your last post too. You are going to be the cutest mom no matter what you are having. Boys are great as the first born, that's what we wanted also... but I wouldn't change emrie for the world. I think you are partial to whatever you have first. They both are great :)
Cribs... carseats... etc. That is a hard one. I felt the same way when I was getting ready for emrie. I love graco brands. They are not the cheapest out there, but they are still a good price for good quality. They have the cutest patterns now too. At Target, Walmart, and Babies R Us you can get a stroller and carseat together for around $200.
Cribs... this is my experience. We bought emrie an expensive crib from babies r us. I loved it when I saw it and just had to have it. But, when she was teething last year, she chewed the heck out of it and now it will never be the same. I wish I would've gotten a cute, cheaper one because it will be used through lots of kids and get really beaten up. We were given a pack n play that we love, but it is small and now she has grown out of it. So anyway... I have friends that bought the pack n play with the changing table, daiper holder, infant sleeper, etc. They are nice and you can use it for their bed and take it while traveling. Also, you wouldn't have to buy a changing pad and/or table because it already has one on there. Saving lots of money.
One thing I am so glad I had was a rocking chair. My mom got it at DI and painted it cute for so cheap! We still use it now.
Anyway... that is my experience! Hope it helps somewhat!
Tiff I have already told you a little, but I have to agree on the Graco brand. We bought a Graco carseat stroller combo with brie and we are still using it. Everything is still in perfect condition too. A little sick of the pattern but happy that it has lasted so long.
Same thing on the crib too. Hope chewed it all up as well. We only spent like $150 on ours but I still liked it. I am going to restain it for this baby since it got pretty beat up in the move. But i have heard a lot of people buying expensive cribs and then regretting it.
Our pack and play has been our most used baby item for sure. We still use it when we are baby sitting or whatever because it is easy to set up and take down. Get the big one because it works more like a crib than a bassinet. Especially if you guys ever go out to stay with your parents or anywhere you will want this.
like I said before, our bouncy seats (like the newborn lounger things, not the exersaucer toy things.) have been a must. We buy a new one with every baby. They are anywhere from 20-60 dollars.
I also highly recommend an AMAZING breast pump. They are always on craigslist or ebay for cheaper (like around $100-150) than new. Buy a double electric hospital grade one and you will never regret it. This is all I did with Brie because she wouldn't latch on and it was a dream come true. I am a huge fan of the baby taking both bottle and breast because then the daddy doesn't feel so helpless. This makes that possible.
I agree with pretty much all they both said. But we got a graco pack n play that had the bassinet and changer and mobile and really the changer and mobile parts were worthless. It is at a angle so Dalton would roll on his side the entire time and they can only lay on it for a short time because of the weight limit. The bassinet part was amazing though. That was Dalton's bed the entire time we were in Logan and any time we go to my parents' house for the weekend. It does have a weight limit of 15 lbs so now he sleeps in the bottom part. Also a swing has been a must for us. We got the fisher price cradle n swing and it is AMAZING. You'll want a diaper genie elite. ALSO AMAZING. my boppy is my best friend! oh and i would wait until you have him and rent the pump from the hospital to make sure you can. We bought an expensive pump and it was worthless because my milk was pretty much water. that's why Dalton got so skinny. So I wish I would have waited and just rented the hospital one until i could order one have have it shipped.
I don't know if you have picked out a ped yet, but we loved Dr. Bell so much. I have cried multiple times because I miss him and how much he cared. we have gone to 3 different doctors here and they aren't any close to as great as he is.
Tiffany, I am truly so excited for you and your husband. You are going to be the best parents ever. I agree about the crib. We bought one at Burlington Coat Factory. They have a really good baby section that is cheaper than Babies R Us. My suggestion would be to avoid Babies R Us. They are VERY overpriced. We got great deals on baby stuff at ShopKo. They have a good selection of strollers, and stuff. I wouldn't worry about buying anything like a wipes warmer. Just hold it in your hand for a couple seconds and it will warm up. :) I have a lot of other suggestions, especially if you are trying to save money. Give me a call and I would be MORE than happy to chat with you. :) I hope to hear from you soon!
I can't believe I haven't left a comment on this post until now. I really agree with what everyone else has said. Pack'n'plays are so nice and if you look, sometimes the graco brands are on sale. Some things that I have felt were/are lifesavers: long, short dresser used as a changing table. It has saved my back!! Breastpump! I think my mom found mine at Walgreens for like $50. Boppy pillow. Those first couple of months nursing feel kind of awkward so I found that my Boppy helped a lot. A Bundle Me for the carseat, which I found at JJ Cole. It has been awesome for taking Bos out in the cold. My mom also found this wrap thing filled with rice I think. Anyway you heat it up in the microwave and it feels amazing on a sore back. Our stroller/car seat came from Costco. I really do like it, although sometimes feel the carseat is a little bulky. Good luck with getting everything ready! Let me know if you ever have any questions or need anything!
